Joy Sue-PriemDesign firm founder, Joy Sue Priem, is one of a handful of certified practitioners of Feng Shui in Florida. Joy has studied with Feng Shui Master and author, Nancilee Wydra, founder of the Pyramid School of Feng Shui and the Feng Shui Institute of America. The Pyramid School incorporates current knowledge and ongoing technology with the specific requirements of each culture. After completing studies in architecture and art at the University of Florida, Joy studied interiors with the Chicago School of Interior Decoration. European studies and travel helped to find the delicate balance between old and new cultures. As a designer for several New York firms, Joy created practical solutions for a cross section of clients in an evolving market and changing world. “The purpose of my company is to adjust the balance and harmony of place and utilize the increased chi (life energy) to maximize the goals and aspirations of my clients while enhancing and enriching the environment.” Her clients vary widely and include homes, home offices, large corporations and even a 727 airplane. Feng Shui of the Discovery Channel in Miami made such an impact on the employees and office culture that Joy received a contract for Discovery's Corporate World Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. Other clients include "The Pink House" in Miami, well know the world over not only as a feature in "Architectural Digest" and most architectural books, but of "Miami Vice" fame as well. The Hoover Mansion on Miami Beach is another recipient of Joys' services. Joy also did Telesat, the cable firm in Panama, Central America and many other homes, offices and properties throughout the U.S. Joy has been called to balance homes and business for resale, making small, yet important changes to assist the process for successful sales. As a public speaker, Joy has informed and entertained numerous audiences with her easy to understand explanations of this very complex art. Joy has been in demand throughout the state of Florida for helping others to actually leave a lecture or class with useful tools of "Fun Shui" as she calls it, rather than a handful of intimidating facts and figures. Joy was asked by the Orlando Chapter of AIA (American Institute of Architecture) to speak at "Coverings", an International event for manufacturers and buyers of floor and wall coverings, which was held a the Orlando Convention Center. |
